Super Easy Crochet Mandala

Crochet mandalas are an excellent way to get creative with your crocheting skills. They are circular patterns that are a joy to work with and produce stunning results. Mandalas are a versatile project that can be used for home decor, accessories, or even as a meditative practice. In this article, we will guide you through making a super easy crochet mandala with just 600 words.

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn
  • 5.5 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Step 1: Begin with a Magic Ring

To start making the mandala, create a magic ring. The magic ring is an adjustable loop that allows you to tighten or loosen the center of your project. Make a loop with the yarn and hold the loop with your non-dominant hand. Insert the hook through the center of the loop and grab the yarn with the hook. Pull the yarn through the loop to create a chain. This will create your magic ring. Chain two to secure the ring.

Step 2: Make the Center

To start the center of the mandala, work 12 double crochets into the magic ring. Join the last stitch with the first stitch by making a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet.

Step 3: Make the First Round

For the first round, chain three, then make two double crochets in the space between the first two double crochets of the previous round. Chain one, then make three double crochets in the space between the next two double crochets of the previous round. Repeat from * to * until you have made a total of 12 groups of three double crochets. Join the last stitch with the first stitch by making a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet.

Step 4: Make the Second Round

For the second round, chain three, then make one double crochet in the space between the first two double crochets of the previous round. Chain one, then make two double crochets in the space between the next two double crochets of the previous round. Chain one, then make one double crochet in the space between the next two double crochets of the previous round. Repeat from * to * until you have made a total of 12 groups of two double crochets separated by a chain one. Join the last stitch with the first stitch by making a slip stitch into the top of the first double crochet.

Step 5: Make the Third Round
